Hadn't seen Doug since around our Junior year at BHS.  Kind of kept up on what he was doing through my sis and his staying in touch.  RIP Doug, gone too soon.

I remember growing up with Doug, spent a lot of time over at his house as a child.  We attended Lincoln Elementry School together and then BJHS and BHS.  I believe the last time I saw him was Thanksgiving Day 1972 while on leave from the Air Force.  Good Memories.  RIP Doug.

Oh my!  Where do I start? Doug and I were the closest of friends.  We worked together at Hubards Cupbord as car hops, then eventually moved inside to other restaurant positions, where we got in trouble on a regular basis, but since Doug's dad was the manager we never got fired.  We would go to my house on Friday nights after closing and play poker from 1AM until dawn, then out to Brandtville or Dixie truckstop for breakfast.  Doug, myself, Richard White Craig Kurth, Eddie Williams, Brad Taylor would drop off our girlfriends at midnight or so and then we'd hang out all night long just cruising sround.  Maybe play poker, go out to Lake Bloomington, head out in the country for a drag race or two.  Doug had his  brown '63 four door Chevy, my '65 Ford Fairlane, Eddie Williams with his red Mopar, George Ferguson with his Chevy (I never did win against Eddie or George!).  Cruisin' "the Gag" and Dog n Suds, seeing everyone you wanted to see. Once we set Doug up with a friend of my girlfriend and were sitting in Dog n Suds and Doug crawled out of the backseat window to talk to somebody driving through.  We didn't see him again that night.  He ran around the building to catch a ride with them because he didn't like his date!  Too funny. Great great great times
